How Do I Pitch a Song Without Spotify for Artists?
Prepare song information for a MeloLab-assisted editorial pitch.If you do not yet have Spotify for Artists access, contact MeloLab Support for help submitting an editorial pitch to Spotify. Prepare the following information:
- The artist's hometown.
- The artist's current location.
- Up to three genres that best describe the song.
- Relevant music cultures, such as African, Arabic, Asian, Buddhist, Caribbean, Celtic, Christian, Indian, Indigenous, Islamic, Jewish, Latin, Sikh, South Asian, or None.
- The song mood, such as Chill, Energetic, Happy, Intense, Meditative, Romantic, Sad, Sexy, or None.
- The song style, such as Acoustic, Ballad, Beats, Holiday, Experimental, Kids, Traditional, or None.
- The main instruments used in the song.
- Whether the song is a cover.
- Whether the recording was made in a studio.
- Whether the track is instrumental.
- Whether the track is a remix.
- A song description, ideally including an artist introduction, the story or context behind the song, and notable achievements.
Spotify controls pitch availability and editorial decisions. Submit complete information as early as possible and make sure the release date and metadata are final.
