Create a Standard Release
Edit Release Metadata: Metadata
Enter release type, genre, language, rights, and identifiers.Release Type: Select Single, EP, or Album based on the number and duration of tracks.
Genre: Select a primary genre and subgenre that match the music. They cannot be the same.
Example for Mandopop: primary genre Pop: Mandopop; secondary genre World: Asian/China.
Metadata Language: Select the language used in the release title.
Description: Optional.
Label: Must match a label already created in MeloLab.
C-line: Copyright in the underlying work, entered as the year followed by the copyright owner. Example: 2023 Label Name.
P-line: Copyright in the sound recording, entered as the year followed by the master owner. Example: 2023 Label Name.
UPC/EAN: Optional. If left blank, MeloLab assigns a UPC at no charge after the release is approved.
