Anti-Fraud Policy

Definitions of customer, DSP, fraud, royalties, and warnings.

Parties & Services

  • Customer: An individual or legal entity that has entered into an agreement with MeloLab, accepted the platform terms, and uses MeloLab to deliver content to digital music services.
  • Customer Account: A MeloLab platform account created or controlled by a Customer.
  • DSP: A digital streaming or music service such as Spotify, Apple Music, or TIDAL, as well as any other service connected to the MeloLab distribution network.
  • Fingerprinting and Monetization Service: A service that identifies content through digital fingerprints and enables rights management or monetization, such as YouTube Content ID or Meta Rights Manager.

Fraud

Fraud means any activity that violates applicable law, DSP rules, or MeloLab policy and attempts to obtain an improper benefit, mislead a platform, or infringe another party's rights. This includes, without limitation:

  • Using copyrighted audio, artwork, or other material without authorization.
  • Using the names of established artists, groups, works, or brands to mislead users into engaging with content.
  • Generating streams, views, or engagement through bots, scripts, or other automated methods.
  • Uploading low-quality, distorted, silent, or otherwise deceptive content.
  • Any conduct that infringes ownership or intellectual property rights.

Royalties & Warnings

  • Royalties: Revenue generated by the lawful commercial use of a work and reported by a DSP.
  • Warning: A violation recorded against an account for breaching industry standards, DSP rules, or this policy. Warnings may accumulate and trigger further enforcement.
