Severity & Enforcement

Risk Levels

Based on quality control, statement review, or notices from a DSP or third party, MeloLab classifies fraud risk into four categories:

• F1: Serious concerns involving account details, identity, or account activity.
• F2: Artificial streams, views, followers, or other fabricated engagement.
• F3: Copyright, intellectual property, publicity, personality, or trademark violations.
• F4: Abuse of audio fingerprinting, rights management, or monetization services.

F1: Account Issues

• False, incomplete, or unauthorized account details, including information belonging to a third party.
• Repeated or material inconsistency between account login IP addresses and the declared country or address.
• False identification, music licenses, or other deceptive documents.
• Deliberate attempts to bypass identity or address verification.
• Failure to disclose, or misrepresentation of, AI-generated or AI-assisted content.
• Evidence that the Customer previously participated in irregular or prohibited activity.

F2: Artificial Streaming

• A sudden increase in streams, views, or revenue without a credible audience or promotional basis.
• Bulk delivery of AI-generated or low-quality content intended to generate streams or royalties, bypass review, or manipulate platform systems.
• Sales or streaming growth that cannot be supported by verifiable audience, campaign, or market data.
• Purchasing or using bots, scripts, or suspicious promotional services to generate streams, views, or followers.

F3: Rights Violations

• Impersonating an artist or record company, or using its trademarks, logos, song titles, release titles, or other identifying elements without authorization.
• Distributing audio, visual assets, or other material without permission from the applicable rights holder.
• Using AI without authorization to clone, imitate, or generate an identifiable person's voice, likeness, image, name, or identity.
• Using AI to generate, adapt, reproduce, or distribute content that infringes a third party's lawful rights.
• Receiving a valid infringement notice from a DSP, rights holder, or authorized representative.

F4: Fingerprinting & Monetization Abuse

• Embedding original snippets in protected third-party content to profit from the popularity of the original work.
• A sudden, unexplained increase in rights-management or fingerprint monetization revenue.
• Purchasing artificial streams, likes, or other engagement.
• Any other misuse of fingerprint claims, rights management, or platform monetization systems.

Other Prohibited Content

• Offensive, abusive, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or violent content.
• Hate speech, cyberbullying, terrorist propaganda, or harmful misinformation.
• Content that lacks necessary cultural sensitivity and may cause real-world harm.
• Duplicate submissions, bulk spam, fabricated artists, or generic content with little editorial value.
• Public-domain content with unclear rights status.
• Recordings or visual assets that materially fail to meet DSP quality requirements.

Warning Policy

When F1-F4 activity or other prohibited content is identified, the account receives a violation warning. MeloLab may request profile information, identity documents, proof of rights, artist details, official websites, or social media profiles.

The Customer must respond within three business days of the notice. A warning may remain permanently on the account if the Customer deliberately ignores the notice, does not provide the requested documents on time, or is found to have infringed rights or acted without authorization.

• Affected content will be taken down.
• An account may be permanently banned after three warnings.

Account Ban Policy

• Take down all content delivered through the affected account.
• Terminate access to the MeloLab platform and related services.
• Hold related revenue until disputes are resolved. Unclaimed funds will be handled under applicable law.
• The parties to a dispute must provide the final outcome. Legally established costs, claims, penalties, or damages may be deducted before any remaining funds are released.

Takedown Policy

• Initiate a takedown when fraud, infringement, or a content-policy violation is confirmed.
• Take down the full catalog when an account shows systemic irregular activity.
• A DSP may also remove or restrict content independently under its own policies.
