Dangerous Content

• Encouraging, glorifying, or instructing suicide, self-harm, or serious physical harm against an individual or group.
• Promoting, supporting, or recruiting for terrorist or violent extremist organizations; praising their members or violence; or providing material that facilitates violence.
• Repeated harassment, intimidation or humiliation of minors, sharing non-consensual intimate material, or exposing another person's financial or identity information.
• Inciting violence, hatred, or dehumanizing statements based on race, religion, gender identity, sex, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, age, disability, or another protected characteristic.
• Dangerous medical misinformation likely to cause direct public-health harm.
• Selling illegal firearms, controlled drugs, endangered species, or other regulated goods.
• Promoting, soliciting, or facilitating child sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, or grooming.

Deceptive Content

• Copying an existing creator's name, image, or profile to impersonate a person, brand, or organization.
• Presenting manipulated, synthetic, or fabricated audio or video as authentic where it may cause harm.
• Using false procedural information, intimidation, or deception to interfere with elections or other civic participation.
• Publishing malware instructions, conducting phishing, or stealing login, financial, or other sensitive information.
• Promoting get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid schemes, or other investment and financial fraud.

Sensitive Content

• Graphic mutilation, dismembered bodies, gore, or other shocking imagery.
• Depictions that encourage or glorify animal abuse.
• Nudity, genitals, or sexual content intended for sexual gratification.
• Content that promotes or glorifies rape, incest, bestiality, or similar sexual themes.

Illegal & Infringing Content

• Content that violates applicable laws, sanctions, or export-control requirements.
• Content intended to promote, instruct, or facilitate unlawful conduct.
• Content delivered to Spotify without the required licenses or permissions.
• Content that infringes third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.

Spotify Enforcement

Spotify uses automated systems, human review, and user reports. Enforcement depends on the severity, frequency, and context of a violation.

• Remove content that violates platform rules.
• Suspend or ban accounts and related accounts for repeated or serious violations.
• Lower search ranking, reduce recommendations, remove promotional eligibility, or restrict access to product features.
• Restrict eligibility for monetization.
• Limit availability in specific territories where required by local law.
• Apply stronger distribution controls and surface authoritative resources during elections, armed conflicts, mass-casualty events, or other high-risk periods.

Reports & Appeals

Use Spotify's safety reporting form to report prohibited content. Copyright and trademark matters should be submitted through Spotify's intellectual property reporting process.

Spotify generally does not disclose a reporter's identity to the content owner. Abuse of the reporting process may lead to restrictions. If you disagree with an enforcement decision, follow the appeal instructions in the notice.
