Music Video Requirements
Quality, content, and artwork requirements for music videos.Quality: Low-quality videos are not accepted. This includes rendering errors, blurred footage, incomplete video or audio, missing audio, and audio that is out of sync.
Burned-in text and subtitles: Do not include subtitles, lower thirds, static or scrolling lyrics, or lyrics displayed as captions.
Release dates and advertising: Do not include release dates, logos, or advertisements.
Static-image promotional videos: Videos that only display artwork or a slideshow over the audio are not accepted.
Nonstandard music videos: The video must be directly related to the song or release.
Videos that cannot be delivered separately: Artist interviews, commentary, behind-the-scenes footage, and similar content must be included as part of a video album rather than delivered alone.
Teasers, trailers, and incomplete videos: Shortened promotional edits, trailers, teasers, and incomplete versions are not accepted.
Medleys: Medleys are not accepted. A music video, including a live video, may contain only one song.
Korean ratings: Music videos originating in and available in South Korea must display the required age rating at the beginning, except live performance videos.
Explicit videos in South Korea: Videos classified as explicit in South Korea must include the applicable rating mark.
Video artwork: Use a still frame taken from the video. Do not use release artwork or an unrelated image.
Active image area: Video artwork must contain only active pixels. Crop out black bars on every side or the artwork will be rejected.
